Terms of Service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Sansa Group AB, the Swedish company that operates Slingdrop. By using Slingdrop you agree to them.
1. The service
Slingdrop lets you upload files, share them as links, and collaborate on them. It is operated by Sansavision, a division of Sansa Group AB, a limited company registered in Sweden (organisation number 559111-9507) ("we", "us"). Our contact details, including our points of contact under the EU Digital Services Act, are in our Legal notice.
You can use parts of Slingdrop without an account; some features need an account or a paid plan.
2. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Slingdrop, and old enough to agree to these terms. Keep access to your email and devices secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
If you use Slingdrop for an organisation, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to what you upload. You give us a limited licence to store, process, convert, display and transmit your content only as needed to run Slingdrop for you and the people you share with, including generating previews, transcripts and AI results when you or your recipients ask for them.
You're responsible for having the rights to share what you upload and for who you share it with. Anyone with a public link can view a public drop, so choose access settings carefully.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy and the law. We report child sexual abuse material, and other content suggesting that someone's life or safety is at risk, to the Swedish Police Authority (Polisen).
5. Content moderation
How we find problems: every upload is checked automatically for known malware and known abusive files. Anyone can report a drop with the Report button on the drop or by email. Automated checks and reports can pause a drop until a person on our team reviews it.
What we can do: remove content or disable access to it, pause links, block a file from being uploaded again, restrict features, and suspend or close accounts. We act diligently, objectively and proportionately, with due regard to everyone's rights, including freedom of expression.
Telling you why: when we restrict your content or account, we send you a statement of reasons saying what we did, why, whether automated means were involved and how to appeal, unless the law or a request from law enforcement prevents it.
Appeals: for six months after a decision, you can contest it (or our decision not to act on something you reported) by replying to our notice or emailing support@slingdrop.my. A person reviews every appeal, and we reverse decisions that were wrong. You can also go to court or, where one is available, a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under the Digital Services Act.
6. Plans, purchases and refunds
Free features may change or be limited. Paid plans are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play (and later through our web checkout). Billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds for in-app purchases are handled by the store you bought from, under its terms. Plan limits are described on our pricing page.
If you're a consumer and buy a plan directly from us, you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (lagen om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler). If you ask us to start the plan during that period, we may charge for the part already provided.
If you downgrade or a paid plan ends, content above your new limits may become read-only or expire according to the limits of your plan.
7. Expiry and deletion
Drops expire at the time you choose or your plan allows, after which we delete the stored files. Deleted drops stay in Trash for 30 days unless you delete them permanently. We don't guarantee that we can recover content after it has expired or been deleted, so keep your own copies of important files.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep Slingdrop fast and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We may change, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Liability
Sansa Group AB is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, unless caused by our intent or gross negligence. Our total liability for any claim relating to Slingdrop is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or EUR 50. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law and don't affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using Slingdrop and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the law, or to protect users or the service. We'll tell you why, as described in section 5.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If changes are material we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Slingdrop after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are decided by the Swedish courts, with Gothenburg District Court (Göteborgs tingsrätt) as the first instance.
If you're a consumer living in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Consumers can take a dispute to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) at arn.se. We take part in ARN's process.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms: support@slingdrop.my. Our company details and DSA points of contact are in our Legal notice.
